In this role, you will apply your expertise in chemistry in the development of new chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) slurry formulations, which requires determining structure-activity relationships, proposing and validating mechanisms of action, and using advanced statistical analysis to support your results. The Scientist will own specific aspects of a development project and will be expected to design experiments and analyze generated data.

The role must be able to communicate and discuss results directly with Global-R&D peers and cross-function partners. In this role you will: Work collaboratively with our engineering, new material development, advanced analytical analysis, and customer facing teams to develop groundbreaking and robust CMP slurry formulation solutions for our customers. Build an understanding of structure-activity relationships around abrasive particle, polymer, and small molecule slurry components. Apply lab-based methods to screen additives, probe mechanism of action, and ensure product robustness using your expertise and statistically robust experimental designs.

Design and execute CMP experiments with engineering team to verify slurry performance on test wafers. Analyze outcomes of experiments using advanced statistical tools and be able to use those results to logically plan future experiments.
