To strengthen our footprint, we’re deepening relationships across the continent — connecting ESOs, corporates, funders, and policymakers to drive more inclusive and collaborative entrepreneurship.We’re hiring an Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Builder – Africa to lead this effort: connecting key players, building partnerships that create tangible value for Bridge and its stakeholders (entrepreneurs, mentors, and ESOs), and turning regional engagement into business opportunities that sustain and scale our mission.This role is for someone who thrives on action — a strategic connector who spots opportunities, brings the right people together, and drives tangible results across Africa’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.ROLES & CONTRIBUTIONS1. Position Bridge as a Recognized Ecosystem Enabler in Africa ( 30%)Drive the strategic design and execution of the Conecta Africa Summit, establishing it as a flagship convening for ESOs, corporates, funders, and policymakersStrengthen Bridge’s thought leadership and presence by securing media coverage, memberships, and speaking opportunities in priority markets.Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent, relevant, and culturally resonant messaging across the continent.Represent Bridge — and support others to represent it — at strategic events with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.Track and report visibility metrics, including media reach, invitations to key platforms, and recognition in ecosystem mappings and reports. 2. Secure and Maintain Partnerships that Deliver Measurable Value ( 30%)Source, structure, and close strategic collaborations with corporates, funders, networks, and institutions that deliver practical outcomes such as mentor pipelines, sponsorships, access-to-capital pathways, and programmatic partnerships. Own the partnership pipeline in the CRM, keeping every stage—from prospecting to signed agreement—accurately tracked and up to date. Ensure a smooth handover to Programs teams for implementation of partnership deliverables, while maintaining the relationship and tracking outcomes to ensure commitments are met. Monitor and report partnership performance, documenting progress, results, and ecosystem engagement trends. Leverage consultants and local representatives to expand reach in priority countries and identify emerging prospects.3. Strengthen Collaboration and Community Among Ecosystem Partners ( 20%)Design and implement engagement frameworks that strengthen relationships across Bridge’s community of ESOs, mentors, and alumni, ensuring continuous value exchange. Facilitate peer-learning and collaboration spaces — such as roundtables, community calls, or thematic groups — that promote shared growth and cross-country exchange. Maintain active community engagement records, tracking participation, collaborations, and emerging opportunities to keep the network visible and actionable.4. Generate High-Quality Leads for Business Development ( 20%)Identify and qualify Sales-Qualified Leads (SQLs) generated through ecosystem engagement, B2B events, and relationship-building across the region. Document in the CRM and hand over validated opportunities to the Business Development team, providing full context for effective follow-up and conversion. Track lead sources and analyze results to improve lead quality and guide future ecosystem engagement efforts.QUALIFICATIONS5–8 years of experience in ecosystem management, partnerships, entrepreneurship support, or community/event leadership. Strong network and credibility within Africa’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, with established relationships across ESOs, corporates, funders, and policy actors. Deep understanding of the African entrepreneurship landscape, including regional nuances, key stakeholders, and the challenges faced by startups and ESOs. Demonstrated ability to forge high-value partnerships and translate them into measurable outcomes such as funding introductions, policy influence, or mentor pipelines. Proven success in planning and leveraging events for networking, brand positioning, and lead generation in the African context. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
