Everything, from roads and bridges, to energy, water and communication.Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family We're looking for an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our Construction team, based in Auckland.Reporting to the National Environmental Manager - Civil, you will work alongside a team of environmental professionals across multiple projects to support project teams in all things environmental. This is a hands-on role that involves regular travel across project sites in the Auckland region and with potential travel to other areas in NZ occasionally.With your deep industry expertise, commitment to safety, wellbeing, quality, and environmental excellence, you will influence and guide stakeholders through high integrity leadership.In addition to the above you will:Support project teams in managing environmental risks by planning and implementing controlsEnsure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, resource consents, permitted activities, regulations, and company policiesDevelop, implement, and monitor site specific EMP's for tender and construction.Deliver environmental training, drive initiatives and best practice at toolbox talksAssist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis and development of preventative solutionsCoordinate environmental monitoring, inspections, and audits; interpret results and recommend corrective actionsPrepare environmental reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. regulatory bodies, clients, communities)Provide advice on waste management, carbon reduction, pollution prevention, land rehabilitation, and biodiversityEngage with government agencies, local councils, and community groups on environmental issuesGood Work equals Good BenefitsCompany vehicleKiwiSaver employer contributionsFuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersMedical and Life insuranceAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.We're looking for someone with:Qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or Planning is preferrableMinimum 2 years' experience in environmental coordinator, advisory roles, preferably within construction, mining, or primary industry sectorsGood understanding of NZ environmental legislation, ISO 14001, ISO 14015Holds a Class 1 NZ Drivers licenceFlexible to travel and periodic work away from home may be requiredExperienced with environmental monitoring technologies and reporting systemsA strong communicator across verbal, digital and visual formatsExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skillsCreating, Connecting and caring for the communityOur people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
