For one of our clients, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, we are looking for a Senior EHS Coordinator to join their team. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced EHS professional who wants to make an impact in a dynamic, international environment where safety and sustainability are key priorities.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMaintain the site environmental, health, and safety management systems and procedures based on legal, customer, standard, and company requirements.Conduct EHS risk assessments and legal compliance audits, including record keeping and follow-up actions.Analyze EHS risk assessment, near-miss, and accident data and update senior management.Conduct investigations of EHS events, document conclusions, close out actions, and ensure follow-up according to requirements.Chair site environmental, health, and safety meetings, present data, record actions, and track progress.Assess training activities on site EHS procedures.Work with operational teams to improve the working environment and reduce risks to employees.Conduct internal EHS audits, workplace inspections, and safety tours as required.Develop and maintain documented health and safety procedures.Maintain emergency preparedness and coordinate the site BHV organization.Manage and control the EHS management system, including generating, interpreting, analyzing, and communicating results.Monitor and drive site EHS performance, providing guidance and advice to supervisors, managers, and employees.Implement and review policies and procedures for the EHS area.Collaborate with operations, engineering, inventory, and trade compliance teams to approve Standard Work Instructions from a health and safety perspective.Establish and maintain the EHS plan for current and future years, ensuring compliance.Maintain the legal register and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.Manage and maintain RI&E and communicate findings to management.QualificationsBachelor’s (HVK/ISM) or intermediate (MVK) degree in Safety Science.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an EHS role, preferably in warehouse or manufacturing environments.Knowledge of Dutch labor laws and machine directives.Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.Internal auditing qualifications for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.Computer literate, proficient in MS Office applications.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral.Risk assessment and incident investigation training required.Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis of EHS events and implementation of risk-reducing initiatives.Ability to analyze data to identify trends and assess behavioral issues.Willingness to work shifts or weekends if required and occasional travel.OfferCompetitive salary in line with market standards.The chance to make a tangible impact on safety, health, and environmental performance.Dynamic and supportive work environment promoting safety, innovation, and employee well-being.Work with international operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
