Position Summary: EOG Resources Trinidad Limited is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill the role of Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. Qualifications and Experience: ACCA, CPA or other professional accounting qualifications with a minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications and relevant Accounting PackagesSkilled in mathematical computation used in accounting. Duties and Responsibilities: ReportingPrepares, co-ordinates and supports financial planning activities (Budgets, Forecasts and Scenario Sensitivities) for the Division and Joint Venture Stakeholders. Evaluates the Division’s financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
Utilizes variance analysis, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for improvements. Exploration, Development & ProductionPrepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Prepares USD & TT Gas and condensate revenue analysis. Computes quarterly taxes, royalty and working interest, Green Fund Levy, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Prepares the schedule of Gas Prices and financial reconciliation on a monthly basis. Production Sharing ContractEnsures compliance with PSC accounting as per the PSC and JOA. Prepares Petroleum Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax submissions.
Prepares and ensures timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reconciliations. Liaises with internal and external parties such as government authority (eg. M. E. E. I. ), tax consultants and auditors. Conducts audit of records of cost recovery statement and statements of expenditure. Accounts PayablesVerifies, records and tracks all invoices, credit notes and expense reports.
Reconciles the relevant system and journals, and ensure that all invoices are approved appropriately and paid on timePrepares bank reconciliations, ageing reports and statements of accountsManages and coordinates the reconciliation of the relevant systems to ensure they balance and that any discrepancies or variations are investigated and addressed. Skills and AbilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work around stringent deadlines.
