Laidley State High School is seeking a committed professional to join our School Leadership Team in the role of Head of Department Student Services (locally known as Head of Year) for Semester 1 2026.The successful candidates will work under the supervision of the relevant Deputy Principal and in collaboration with other Heads of Year, faculty Heads of Departments, Year Coordinators, teachers and support staff to lead the academic engagement, wellbeing and positive behaviour for students in the Junior or Middle phase.The Head of Year will nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, parents and stakeholders.If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.About The Department Of EducationWorking for the Queensland Department of Education means joining an organisation that values its people and promotes leadership and innovation.
