Design Engineer

Job DescriptionWe at Epta Refrigeration Oy are looking for a Design Engineer to our Product development team in Porvoo, Finland, where we develop and produce refrigerated cabinets for commercial use. In R&D we are working on product development projects, product maintenance and customer specific engineering of refrigerated cabinets. In this role there is a chance to be involved in every stage of development from early concepting to the first products produced in a manufacturing line.

Scale of the development projects varies from smaller changes to completely new industrialized products, and we can utilize our laboratory and prototype workshop facilities located on-site. The role includes active collaboration with various stakeholders, such as production, product management, purchasing and quality. Your Main Responsibilities AreProduct maintenance and customer specific (ETO) engineering tasks Acting as a specialist in product development projects Providing product related technical support and consultancy for internal stakeholder Participating in refrigeration testing and calculation of cabinets Keys to success in this roleRelevant engineering degree Experience in mechanical engineering.

Competence in sheet metal design and a good understanding of manufacturing methods are preferred. Proficiency in thermodynamics and refrigeration systems will be considered as an advantage Experience in 3D CAD modelling, creation of technical drawings and product structure maintenance in PLM Ability to systematically analyse technical problems and to develop solutions independently Good communication and collaboration skills Fluency in spoken and written English, Finnish is an advantage We offerDemanding but rewarding role in product development and possibility to work in co-operation with the R&D teams.
