This position will be a summer internship to initiate students into construction and estimating.DutiesAid estimators working on bidsMake phone calls to subs and suppliersUpdate the sub list on SmartBidHelp create/edit proposals, scope sheets, RFI’s and clarificationsDistribute bid documents, RFI’s, and AddendumsPrepare bid forms and documents for bid dayScheduling of meetings and estimating eventsPrinting documents for estimators and subcontractors Help with sub-bid tallies and reportingCreate hand-off meeting agendasAttend estimating, hand-off, page turner, and other meetingsLearn Bluebeam, SmartBid, and Destini estimating softwareIntroduction to other divisions within SpeedwellQualificationsGood written and verbal communication skills and willingness to make phone callsGeneral construction knowledge, familiar with construction terminologyDetail oriented, good organizational skillsComputer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, WordTeam player, willing to support any estimatorMust align with our core values of respect, diligence, humility, and sense of urgency
