Estimation Engineer – Joinery

The Estimation Engineer – Joinery is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and technical evaluations for joinery projects. The role supports tendering, budgeting, and project execution by ensuring competitive and precise pricing in line with Alpago Manufacturing’s quality and production standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for joinery works including furniture, cabinetry, doors, kitchens, wardrobes, and bespoke woodwork.Study tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of work to identify requirements and risks.Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, hardware, finishes, and accessories.Coordinate with production, procurement, and design teams to obtain accurate pricing and technical inputs.Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for materials, fittings, and finishes.Analyze labor costs, machinery usage, wastage, and production timelines.Prepare and submit competitive commercial proposals and cost breakdowns.Support value engineering by proposing alternative materials or methods without compromising quality.Assist in post-tender clarifications, negotiations, and revisions.Maintain an updated cost database for materials, suppliers, and labor rates.Ensure estimates comply with project specifications, company standards, and client requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in joinery estimation within manufacturing or contracting environments.Strong experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or fit-out joinery projects.Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing processes is essential.Experience in the UAE market is preferred.
