Estimator

Our client, a leading technology partner and global integrator, is currently recruiting an Estimator to join their design and estimation team. The Estimator will be responsible for designing and estimating our clients structured cabling solutions for a wide range of projects including Enterprise, Data Centres, Pharma, Manufacturing etc. Key Responsibilities for the Estimator (Structured Cabling):Understanding layout drawings and reading tender specifications, with a view to completing detailed take‐off’s to build out quotationsQuoting MAC works (Moves Adds and Changes) on new and on‐going projectsEnsure that requests for quotations are returned within the required timescalesEnsure that all quotations are produced in accordance with departmental policy and proceduresProduce accurate information that can be conveyed to the operations team in the form of Pre Contract Reviews in accordance with company proceduresAdopt a proactive approach with the Sales/Projects teams continually look to provide support and technically guidance on opportunitiesSkills Required for the Estimator (Structured Cabling):Experience as an Estimator in the ICT cabling industry is preferential in the ICT cabling industry requiredExcellent experience in providing costs and using costing tools - Quoting MAC works (Moves Adds and Changes) on new and on‐going projectsAn understanding of one (or more) of the following manufacturer product sets - CommScope and Panduit is desired Being able to work in a team environment with excellent communication skills to deal with all members of the businessThe ability to work under pressure and meet response times for quotations & tendersPlease apply as directed!
