Scope of Work: We are seeking a Mid-Level Estimator for our Project Controls (PC) Team. Due to work we’ve recently won, our PC group is at capacity with workload. This person will support our estimating efforts for a variety of projects including, but not limited to, vertical construction, transportation / infrastructure, and government / federal projects.Responsibilities Include Estimate and negotiate change orders with the general contractor Track reimbursable expenses Evaluate RFI's, submittals, and Field Memos for cost impacts as directed by the Construction Manager Prepare Change Order documents and exhibits. Coordinate edits to change order scope, and terms and conditions with the contractor and client Update change order log and track contingency balance. Provide estimates for cost to complete and rough order of magnitude for potential risk issues Review backup for Time and Material change orders Change Order negotiations and prepare minutes Prepare detailed documentation of rejected items submitted in Contractor's change order proposalsRequirements Minimum of a 4 year Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field Extensive experience in developing and estimating the scope of work for change orders. Ability to compare the independent cost estimate with contractor proposal to quickly identify differences. Negotiate changes with Contractors Ability to develop scope of work based on RFI answers and estimate the costs of those scopes of work independent of the contractor proposal.
