EU Application Support Manager (banking)

We are looking for a Application Support Manager for multinational financial services organisation based in Dublin with massive clients worldwide, this organisation employs thousands of people in more than 40 countries and pioneer innovative software and IT solutions that meet the needs of their clients.The Application Support Manager will lead and direct operational support in the EMEA application support function, responsible for a suite of critical proprietary applications. These applications support core business processes, in a “follow-the-sun” model spanning multiple processes and locations to deliver financial information daily.The role includes management of support personnel, technical direction in detailed software support, and is business-facing, communications and relationship management with the regional business functions is key to success in the role. This role partners with technology product owners, application support and infrastructure teams, regionally and globally. Technically strong, organized, detailed, committed, and a mature communicator. Ability to effectively convey information of a highly technical nature to non-technical audiences.Degree in Technology5+ years of hands-on experience as a senior contributor in Support/Development/Infrastructure Services2+ years of experience managing teams at Team Lead level or higherUnix/Windows OS and scripting knowledge including SQLdatabase performance tuningKnowledge of industry standards such as ITIL, LEANBeneficial: AWS Cloud operations experience and/or certificationFinancial Services industry or financial services experienceRegulatory, Risk and Compliance experience, representation in Audit assessments
