We are expanding globally and seeking the right regulatory and licensing talent to help us obtain financial and payment licenses in key markets in the EU.Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Manager, EU Regulatory Affairs and Licensing to lead on regulatory, banking, and go-to-market frameworks across Europe.This role bridges policy, compliance, and strategy, helping the company understand the evolving fintech landscape for licensing and expansion.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise and lead on EU licensing matters: EMI/CASP and MiCA licensingBuild relationships and execute plans relating to banking access, SEPA connectivity across jurisdictionsEvaluate regulatory stability, enforcement trends, and institutional responsiveness, and stablecoin and crypto-fiat policiesBuild structured country comparison models for the purpose of making market-entry decisionsPrepare concise regulatory intelligence reports for internal stakeholdersRequirements5 to 7+ years in a regulatory, compliance, or government affairs role in financial services or fintechIn-depth knowledge of EU financial regulatory systems, including PSD2, MiCA, and e-money frameworksStrong ability to interpret and analyse complex regulatory environmentsExcellent written communication; able to summarize large data sets into policy insightsNice to haveDirect engagement with regulatory authorities (e.g., ECB, local NCBs, FIUs)Familiarity with policy development or sandbox frameworksExperience in managing or advising licensing or market-entry processesWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
