European HSE Manager in High Critical Construction

VOLGHE Search Company is a Belgian headhunting agency specialized in Safety roles for clients in all types of activities and industries.For our international client, active in building of datacenters and with worldwide operations, we are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a large experience in high critical construction. This is a hire for long term employee Belgian contract (no end date). We are not open to working consultancy or project based. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:(remote and live) leading and recruiting the team of prevention specialists within Europecommunicate regularly with internal stakeholders and key clients to optimize the safety / prevention policies, plans and implementations in the respective countriesCreate strategic direction for all Health and Safety related topics within European activitiesSetup and maintain strong collaborations with clients & contractors for all Health and Safety guidelines and agreementsOversee the preparation and approval of safety plans, method statements and risk assessments and the correct implementation / effectivenessImplement and streamline the reporting process for HS dataThis role is based in North of Brussels (Vilvoorde-Grimbergen) with approximately 30% travel. Travel will be in Europe mainly and fairly flexible to plan according to preference of the hired H&S manager. When not travelling, the work location may vary from HQ in Brussels or home office. Relocation to Belgium is necessary.The ideal candidate will have the following background/experiencesStrong experience in H&S strategic management within a country of Continental EuropeHSE experience in High Critical Construction is a mustPrior management experience in leading an international team of Safety specialists and strong stakeholder managementWe require a candidate whose English is at a very high level (speaking, writing and listening) given the international nature of this role. French or Dutch language skills are considered a plus.No freelancers or contractors can be engaged for this role.
