This opportunity is open to both contract and permanent candidates and involves delivering high-impact automation solutions within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. Role OverviewAs an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining operational automation systems across the manufacturing site. The role focuses on ensuring system reliability, process efficiency, and compliance with industry and internal standards.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams to enhance system performance and support ongoing capital projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for existing automation systemsConfigure and program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms to meet manufacturing needsDevelop and support automation solutions aligned with production and regulatory requirementsExecute automation-related changes and manage associated CSV (Computer System Validation) activitiesCollaborate with internal teams to implement upgrades and support capital projectsPerform regular maintenance including backups, performance checks, and security tasksInvestigate deviations, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actionsEnsure documentation and automation activities meet GMP and 21 CFR Part 11 complianceParticipate in internal and external audits as requiredQualifications & ExperienceDegree in Electrical, Control, or Electronic Engineering (or related discipline)Minimum 3 years of experience with industrial automation (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs)Familiarity with Siemens, WinCC, iFix, Wonderware, or equivalent systemsSolid understanding of GMP, validation protocols, and regulated manufacturingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFluent in English (Swedish is a plus)Experience in capital projects and system integration is an advantageContract or Permanent OpportunityThis position can be offered as either a contract or permanent hire, depending on the candidate’s preference and availability.
