Event Manager – HBF Run for a ReasonLocation: Perth, WAEmployment Type: Full-time, 7 month contractIndustry: Events / Community Engagement / Health & WellnessAbout the RoleAre you ready to lead one of Western Australia’s most iconic community events? HBF Run for a Reason has been running for 13 years and broke records in 2025 attracting 40,000 participants and raising over $2M for local charities.As the Event Manager, you’ll take charge of the operational delivery of HBF Run for a Reason, ensuring every milestone is met with precision and purpose. Working closely with the HBF Senior Event Manager and supported by the HBF Event team, you’ll oversee day-to-day execution and keep the event on track from planning through to delivery. This role would report into the Managing Director of The Event Team, and would be primarily based at HBF Head office. This is a high-impact role for a self-motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about creating exceptional experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end delivery of HBF Run for a Reason, including: o   Pack collection logisticso   VIP managemento   Start/finish line Managemento   Volunteer engagemento   Risk Managemento   Supplier and stakeholder managementOversee all HBF Event team deliverables, ensuring alignment with timelines and quality standards.Collaborate with internal departments (cyber security, privacy, legal, procurement) to meet governance and compliance requirements.Collaborate with project stream leads and wider project team.Provide leadership of HBF event team and collaborate closely with operational event partners.Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, media partners and corporate clients.Champion process improvements and implement new ways of working.Support with event budget planning, tracking, and reporting.About YouTertiary qualifications in Events, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.3–5 years’ experience in large-scale event management.Demonstrated ability to maintain brand integrity and deliver audience-focused experiences.Proven ability to manage large scale, complex event logistics, stakeholder and sponsor relationships.Strong understanding of risk management and contingency planning.Experience managing event budgets and reporting on financial performance.Next StepsIf you’re ready to lead a high-profile event and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.Click “Apply Now” and submit your resume detailing your relevant experience.Please note: Our recruitment process includes reference checks, National Police Clearance, and verification of working rights in Australia.We don’t just accept difference - we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our community.
