Rooted in POLITICO’s unmatched political and policy journalism, our events turn our editorial content into engaging conversations on the issues at the center of the policy debate.From open door policy debates and full day summits all the way to exclusive events for our subscribers, our top-tier programs are led by our 150+ expert reporters, convening an audience of the most powerful policymakers and influential stakeholders.Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Production Intern to join our Brussels-based team for a 3-month internship. This role offers hands-on experience in the end-to-end production of events, encompassing project management, logistics, and operations. The intern will work closely with our events team to ensure the seamless execution of POLITICO Live events across Europe.What You’ll DoProject Management:Assist in planning and coordinating all aspects of event production, from conception to completion, including through the use of project management tools such as Asana, AirtableSupport the development of event timelines, schedules, and action plans.Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, marketing, and sales, to align event objectives and deliverables, communicate them across teams, and provide proper documentation to all key stakeholdersLogistics And OperationsCoordinate venue research, selection, setup, and breakdown, ensuring all technical and logistical requirements are met.Assist with managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure necessary services and equipment.Assist with registration processes, attendee communications, and on-site event management and execution.Marketing And PromotionAssist in creating content for event websites, social media, and email campaigns.Post-Event EvaluationContribute to post-event debriefs, gathering feedback from attendees, partners, and internal stakeholders.Assist in the analysis of event performance data to assess success and identify areas for improvement.Support the preparation of post-event reports and presentations.What You’ll NeedBachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in event management, communications, marketing, or a related field.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with event management software and CRM systems is advantageous.Demonstrated interest in politics, policy, and current affairs, particularly within the European context.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required by event schedules.Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and cover letter detailing their qualifications and motivation for applyingDeadline for Applications: 6th of MarchLet’s keep in touch: You can view our list of open positions here.
