Company DescriptionThe Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation (SCHF) is the national governing body for climbing and hiking in Saudi Arabia. Founded in February 2018 under the Saudi Arabian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Ministry of Sports, the Federation is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport in the region.Role DescriptionThe Events Operations Manager oversees the planning, execution, and optimization of all climbing operations under the Federation. This includes event management, training facility operations, athlete development programs operations, and international competition logistics. The role plays a vital part in ensuring operational excellence across both event and training domains — driving innovation, efficiency, and performance to position Saudi Arabia as a regional and global leader in climbing.ResponsibilitiesEvent OperationsDevelops innovative concepts, themes, and strategies for climbing events that captivate participants and audiences, aligning with global trends and best practices.Plans, manages, and executes event timelines, budgets, and logistics for competitions, festivals, and national initiatives.Oversees risk management, safety compliance, and contingency planning for all events.Leads and coordinates staff and volunteers to ensure seamless event delivery, from registration to post-event evaluation.Collaborates with marketing and sponsorship teams to promote events and secure partnerships that enhance visibility and impact.Conducts post-event reviews and prepares detailed reports to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform future strategies.Training OperationsManages the day-to-day operations of the climbing training facility, ensuring smooth scheduling, safety, and maintenance of all training equipment and spaces.Oversees the planning and execution of daily training sessions, seasonal training programs, and specialized athlete development camps.Coordinates with coaches and technical staff to ensure training sessions align with performance goals and competition readiness.Supports the implementation of training calendars, ensuring logistical alignment for athletes, coaches, and support staff.International Participation & CampsPlans and manages all logistics related to national team participation in international competitions, including travel, accommodation, registration, and compliance with international federation requirements.Organizes and executes local and international training camps, ensuring all operational elements (venue setup, equipment, permits, catering, and safety) meet Federation standards.Acts as the operational liaison between the Federation and international partners, federations, and organizing committees to ensure efficient coordination and representation.General Operations & PerformanceOversees equipment inventory, maintenance, and storage systems to guarantee optimal accessibility and conditionDevelops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success across events, training, and international programs.Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in all operational processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, or related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in sports operations, event management, or facility management.Proven experience managing sport training facilities or athlete programs is an advantage.SkillsEnglish and Arabic Language FluencyExpertise in event and facility operationsProject management and logistics planningKnowledge of athlete development cyclesProficiency in event management and operational softwareStrong understanding of safety and compliance standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsLeadership and teamwork orientationInnovative and solutions-driven mindsetAdaptability and crisis management capability
