By combining elements of inspection, light construction, and customer service, you will play a key role in keeping pests, rodents, and wildlife out of the communities we serve.Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The FollowingInspections: Conduct detailed property inspections to locate potential and existing pest entry points.Exclusion Services: Perform sealing, caulking, flashing, and other structural repairs to close off pest access.Wildlife Management: Safely install, monitor, and remove exclusion devices and traps, ensuring humane handling practices.Construction and Repair: Complete light construction projects, such as repairing minor pest damage and reinforcing vulnerable structures.Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to explain inspection findings, describe recommended solutions, and ensure satisfaction with completed work.Service Delivery: Maintain accurate service records, operate equipment safely, and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry practices, safety procedures, and exclusion techniques through ongoing training.Essential Job FunctionsWorking around animals, insects, and rodentsWorking in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, or narrow passagewaysSetting up and building exclusion traps, cutting flashing, and forming hardware cloth to specificationsRemoving animals from exclusion devicesWorking in a safety harness on rooftops as needed for exclusion services and wildlife removalCompleting production forms documenting services providedOccasionally working around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals (training provided for safe handling)Moving up to 50 pounds by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objectsMaintaining balance when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or uneven surfacesPushing, pulling, or hauling objects with sustained forceWorking both inside and outside in varying weather conditions with company-provided gearRegularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using ladders, scaffolding, or rampsWearing personal protective equipment (PPE), including OSHA-compliant respiratorsSafely operating a company vehicle and maintaining equipment cleanlinessWhat do you need?Clean-shaven face (for safety—respirators must seal properly)High school diploma or GED; related experience in construction, handyman work, or pest control preferredValid driver’s license in state of residenceAvailability to work Monday–Friday and occasional SaturdaysStrong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills to present information clearly to customers and team membersBasic math skills — ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (important for following product and repair specifications)Licenses/certifications as required by federal, state, or local regulations (provided by Terminix)Prior customer-facing experience preferred#RTX200#ZipRTXWhy Choose Us?A career with the Rentokil family of companies can be a professional trajectory filled with opportunity.
