Executive Director - Head of Regulatory Projects - Finance (gn)For our client, a leading global universal bank with its European headquarters in Frankfurt, we are currently looking for an Executive Director - Head of Regulatory Projects - Finance (gn) to strengthen the Team.Purpose of jobThe position is responsible for guiding the strategic development of the Finance & Control function for growing regulatory demands. The focus is on enhancing Finance capabilities to meet both internal and external requirements, ensuring reliable monitoring and communication of financial performance, and embedding Finance considerations into decision-making at both entity and group level.TasksProvide overall strategic direction to the Finance team and ensure that all readiness initiatives across Finance functions are executed effectively and responsibilities are metOversee Finance activities to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements, implement processes aligned with market best practices, and manage risks or limitations efficientlyTrack and support Finance sub-teams to ensure that strategic goals are on track, appropriately prioritized, and properly risk-assessedSupport the Head of Finance in rolling out the Target Operating Model, including onboarding and training staff, developing talent, supervising branches and subsidiaries, managing outsourcing, promoting regional collaboration, and setting up centers of excellenceChair the Finance Committee, ensuring robust governance frameworks and transparent reporting of financial matters to senior leadershipStrengthen governance and oversight processes throughout the Finance function at both individual entity and group levelsRequirementsSignificant professional experience in finance or risk roles within the banking industry, preferably with exposure to investment banking or universal bankingMaster’s degree required; professional qualifications are advantageousStrong analytical skills with the ability to grasp complex issues, question assumptions, and communicate findings clearly and effectivelyDeep understanding of financial products, investment banking operations, accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS, HGB), and regulatory requirementsFull professional proficiency in English; knowledge of German is of advantage
