And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.We are looking for a Executive Director, Head of PMO Group Operations to join our team!The Head PMO, Group Operations is an integral member of the of the Group Operations Leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of Group Operations. The candidate will support the Head of Group Operations to shape, inform and facilitate the strategic dialogue and collaboration with Platforms and other Group Functions, drive the selection, goal setting and reviews of critical Group Operations Projects including Game-Changing Initiatives as well as successful positioning and review of activities of the Group Ops Functions.The incumbent will work with the individual Group Operations functions and their leaders to develop and oversee the Group Operations portfolio focusing on "Must Do" initiatives in alignment with Platforms and Group Functions and ensure feasible execution plans and implementation tracking.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and analyze issues and provide guidance to the Head of Group Operations regarding risks, opportunities and feasibility on issues that impact the Group Operations agendaFacilitate decision making and execution related to the growth strategy and transformation of Group Operations related to platformsScope, plan and (help to) execute critical initiatives that support Group Operations & group-wide objectivesDrive the agenda and facilitate Business Reviews with Platforms and Group Functions in close alignment with counterparts in these groups as well as senior stakeholders incl. Platform Operations HeadsDrive the agenda and facilitate meeting of the Group Operations leadership team, providing organizational support to leadership in preparation for and during as well as follow-up after MeetingsLead and coordinate the preparation of necessary presentations, documents and submissions by Group Operations for Lonza’s Executive Committee and Board of DirectorsSupport the development and execution of the Group Operations communication plan to ensure the Group Operations agenda and initiatives are understood, reinforced and visible throughout the organizationKey RequirementsMaster`s degree in Science, Engineering, Business or relevant field (ideally with a PhD/MBA from a top University)Several years’ of experience in life sciences, ideally with a combination of strategy consulting and industry experienceA background in manufacturing / operational in a pharmaceutical business (Pharma, CMO or Biotech) would be a plusExperience working with senior executivesStrong strategic thinking capability, comfortable with quantitative and qualitative skills and creative problem solving skillsExperience gathering, analyzing and understanding divergent ambiguous data and ability to formulate hypothesis and translate into actionable plansAbility to manage multiple complex projectsSelf-driven individual enjoying work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work effectively in situations of ambiguityBusiness fluent EnglishEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
