Our mission is to combine traditional recruitment and coaching methods with new technology, to provide a tailored and innovative solution to our clients and candidates.Our client, a leading global food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to oversee and drive the growth and strategic direction of their operations in Belgium and Northern Europe. This high-level leadership role, reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, will be pivotal in steering the company's performance during a period of transformation and expansion.As the organisation adapts to a more scalable and matrixed structure, the Executive Director will ensure the alignment of Belgium's market performance with global strategies and objectives. The role will focus on delivering strong commercial outcomes, fostering sustainable practices, and overseeing a dynamic and high-performing team in one of the company's most important regions.Key Responsibilities:Lead the commercial strategy and operations for Belgium, while ensuring alignment with broader Northern European market objectives.Own the go-to-market strategy and ensure market penetration, focusing on both branded and private label products.Oversee a high-performing sales team, driving new business development and customer acquisition in Belgium.Achieve key commercial KPIs, including revenue growth, margin expansion, and customer acquisition within the Belgian market.Act as the primary business leader for Belgium, ensuring effective collaboration across matrixed functions like HR, Finance, R&D, and IT.Drive regional growth while adhering to global strategies, and actively contribute to the company’s transformation efforts.Lead M&A activities, identifying strategic opportunities for growth in Belgium and contributing to due diligence and planning.Utilise market insights and data to influence both organic and inorganic growth strategies for the region.Represent the Belgian market in global forums, ensuring local business needs and insights are represented and shared across leadership teams.Required Qualifications:Extensive experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the food, FMCG, or consumer goods sectors, with a proven ability to drive growth in Belgium.In-depth knowledge of the Belgian market, with strong connections to key stakeholders and a deep understanding of local consumer behaviour.Proven success in both branded and private label environments, with the ability to adapt to varying market dynamics.Strong leadership skills, with experience managing large, cross-functional teams and driving results in a complex, matrixed organisation.A strategic mindset with hands-on experience in executing plans and driving operational excellence in fast-paced environments.Familiarity with plant-based, health food sectors or private equity-backed organisations is advantageous.High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to influence teams across diverse functions and regions.A track record of successfully leading transformation and business growth initiatives.Why Apply?Join a company that’s committed to growth, innovation, and sustainability in one of the most important markets in Northern Europe.
