Job Description

As an Executive, Group Reporting, you will support the preparation and analysis of the Group’s financial reports and consolidated financial statements. This role involves assisting in group-level reporting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and coordinating with subsidiaries to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial data. You will also provide support in audit processes, budgeting activities, and internal reporting for management decision-making.Key Responsibilities1. Group Financial ReportingAssist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.Perform basic consolidation tasks, including intercompany eliminations and group-level journal entries.Compile group financial performance reports and variance analyses for management review.Support in the preparation of Board papers, financial presentations, and management reports.2. Intercompany Coordination & ReviewCoordinate with finance teams of subsidiaries and joint ventures to collect and verify financial data.Review financial reports submitted by subsidiaries for accuracy and compliance with group accounting policies.Assist in monitoring intercompany balances and reconciliation matters.3. Audit & ComplianceProvide support during interim and annual audits by preparing schedules and documentation.Assist in responding to auditor queries and ensuring timely completion of audited financial statements.Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and internal control purposes.4. Budgeting & Forecasting SupportAssist in the consolidation of annual budgets and forecasts for the Group.Prepare variance analyses between budgeted and actual results.Support financial planning exercises involving input from business units and subsidiaries.5. Financial Standards & Policy ComplianceStay informed on developments in MFRS/IFRS and assist in implementing relevant updates.Ensure consistency in the application of group accounting policies.Help maintain and update group reporting templates and guidelines.6. Ad-Hoc Reporting & ProjectsAssist in preparing ad-hoc financial and management reports as required.Support group-wide initiatives such as system improvements, automation, or financial process enhancements.Participate in due diligence or project-related financial analysis when required.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Pursuing or holding a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) is an advantage.Minimum 2 years of working experience in group reporting, consolidation, or external audit.Experience in the property development or real estate industry is an added advantage.Familiar with MFRS/IFRS and group consolidation practices.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and subsidiaries.Key CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAnalytical and problem-solving mindsetAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlinesTeam-oriented with good coordination and communication skillsEager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
