The COP31 Procurement TeamThe Procurement team is at the heart of Australia’s bid to host COP31 in 2026—driving strategic sourcing, enabling high-impact partnerships, and ensuring every procurement aligns with procurement policies and legislation. From labour hire to complex commercial arrangements, the team provides expert guidance, seamless support, and trusted leadership across all procurement activities. As the central liaison for legal, commercial, and probity matters, they play a critical role in shaping a world-class event with integrity, precision, and purpose.The team is seeking an EL2 Director with the following capabilities.•   Lead COP31 procurements for Australia’s bid to host COP31 climate summit.•   Management of the COP31 procurement and contract management team.•   Provide a strategic level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise on COP31 procurements and contract management.•   Provide strategic direction to a work area, including developing strategies and priorities and monitor work-flow and performance.•   Provide strategic advice, problem solving and issues management for internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex and potentially controversial COP31 procurements and contract management.•   Develop and manage key strategic relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, promoting the COP31 procurement team.
