Melbourne Forum - Executive OfficerStrong Member FocusMelbourne Forum is now seeking its next Executive Officer. This is a unique role supporting the Forum’s program, member services, online presence and business management. Events are usually held in the Melbourne CBD, with some held online. You can see our upcoming and recent program of events at our website. About the Executive Officer roleTo undertake this role, we are seeking a dynamic, member-focused, entrepreneurial professional with a broad skill set and experience. That experience will include leadership roles in member or customer focused organisations where they need to use many different capabilities. They will need to have initiative, a collaborative approach, good emotional maturity, excellent writing and other communication skills, and be accustomed to working with executives and board members. Reporting to the Chair of the Forum, the EO exercises a high degree of autonomy in delivering the Board's strategy, programs and policies. They will need to be able to work at a good pace and deal well with the iterative nature of developments in our events that are held about 40 weeks of the year.This is a three to four day a week hybrid role with considerable flexibility. The Executive Officer will need to be able to support and engage with members at regular evening events, with generally one evening event most weeks (other than during school holidays and other recognised holiday periods). Key Responsibilities include:Coordinate and deliver impactful lunchtime and evening events, managing speakers, venues, suppliers, member communications, and event materials.Manage the full membership lifecycle, including applications, approvals, and renewals, using the Member Jungle platform.Promote, communicate, and drive attendance at events, leveraging the Member Jungle platform for maximum member engagement.Support organisation governance and oversight through Board and Committee meeting participation, agenda preparation, accurate minute-taking, and updating registers.Manage organisational finances, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring.Maintain and update our online presence, including website content via Member Jungle and LinkedIn.The role is both stimulating and demanding.
