A leading organisation in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Executive: Product Performance Analysis & Costing to provide strategic oversight of product fund performance, financial modelling and costing structures across the Group.This role is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability, transparency and profitability of value-added products while supporting executive and board-level decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Decision SupportLead the development and execution of financial models, costing frameworks and product performance analysis.Advise the MD, Exco and Board on product performance and pricing strategies.Evaluate new product and channel opportunities from a financial perspective.Governance, Risk & ComplianceMaintain robust financial governance, controls and reporting frameworks.Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.Contribute to finance and fund committees overseeing product performance.Financial Oversight & PerformanceDefine costing methodologies aligned with business objectives.Monitor product profitability, key performance metrics and sustainability indicators.Report on financial performance to Exco and the Board, identifying risks and improvement areas.Stakeholder Engagement & LeadershipServe as the main point of contact for external stakeholders on product-related financial matters.Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver accurate analysis and reporting.Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.Experience and Skills8 to10 years’ senior finance or product performance experience, including at least 2 years in an executive or Exco-level role.Proven leadership in managing product fund performance, costing structures, or financial planning operations.Demonstrated experience engaging with Boards and influencing strategic decisions.In-depth understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, pricing and performance measurement.Proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms and BI/reporting tools.Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS relevant to funds.Technical ExpertiseAdvanced skills in SQL, Python, and/or R for data analysis and modelling.Experience with big data tools, predictive modelling and machine learning.Competence in building dashboards and visualisations for financial performance reporting.Strong understanding of unit economics, profitability analysis and pricing sensitivity.QualificationsPostgraduate qualification in Applied Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative Finance (essential).Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CFA, CIMA, or MBA (advantageous).Executive leadership training or equivalent experience will be beneficial.AttributesStrong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.High integrity, sound judgement and commercial awareness.Effective communicator with the ability to engage across executive and board levels.Resilient, adaptable and results-focused.If you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, please consider your application unsuccessful at this time.
