OverviewYou will be part of the team that champions for the fair treatment of domestic employees in Singapore through balanced and pragmatic approach and promotes cohesive social integration among the community. You will promote the efforts of the Centre through the daily interactions with the employees and employers as well as proactive outreach to various stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesProvision of advisory, assistance and engagement with migrant domestic workers (MDWs) and employers on MDW employment related matters. This includes rendering physical assistance to urgent distressed MDWs onsite when required.Liaise with relevant government agencies pertaining to possible breach(es) of the regulations related to employment and welfare of MDWsBuild and expand network with the communities (physical and online platforms such as Facebook, Tiktok) to reach out to more MDWs and understand the trends pertaining to MDW landscapePerform proper tracking and updating of recordsAssist in outreach and engagement activities and recruitment of CDE volunteers/ followersAttend to 24-hour helpline calls, emails, and social media platform queries RequirementsDegree / Diploma holder in any DisciplineEntry Level candidates are welcome to applyGood to have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in social service sectorExperience in managing day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage difficult situations and has a flair to work well with different stakeholders from various cultural and social backgrounds, including community groups, foreign embassiesProficient in MS Office Application (e.g. Words, Excel, Powerpoint) and willing to learn and use other IT systemsPerform other duties as assigned, such as organising of events/ activitiesProficiency in Burmese to effectively communicate with Burmese-speaking Migrant Domestic Workers and provide them with the necessary assistance in their cases.Ability to multi-task and manage difficult situationsAbility to work on weekends especially on SundaysComfortable with outdoor and off-site engagement and duties, e.g. at outdoor areas, hospitals, police stations.
