We are looking for potential and ambitious candidates as Executive, Underwriting:Role PurposeThe Executive, Underwriting is responsible for evaluating life insurance applications by assessing medical, financial, and occupational risks according to company guidelines and re-insurer treaties. The role ensures high-quality risk assessment, timely case processing, and compliance with internal SOPs to support business growth and service excellence.⸻Key Responsibilities1. Risk Assessment & Decision MakingEvaluate life insurance applications in accordance with underwriting guidelines, reinsurance treaties, and internal SOPs.Assess medical reports, financial documents, occupational risks, and lifestyle factors to determine appropriate underwriting decisions.Identify high-risk or complex cases and escalate to senior underwriters or reinsurers when required.Recommend Standard, Substandard, Postpone, or Declined decisions with proper justification.2. Case Management & Turnaround TimeManage daily case queues to ensure timely processing and adherence to agreed TAT.Coordinate with sales, branch offices, and customer service teams to obtain missing documents or clarifications.Manage in medical examination process, including make an appointment and follow up for medical checkup result with panel clinics, and diagnostic centers for medical requirements.3. Operational ComplianceEnsure all decisions comply with regulatory requirements, AML/CFT guidelines, and internal governance.Maintain accurate and complete underwriting documentation in LifeAsia / internal systems.Support periodic audits, quality checks, and reporting activities.4. Customer & Stakeholder EngagementProvide clear communication to sales and customer-facing teams regarding underwriting decisions and requirements.Support training or briefing sessions for sales channels on underwriting guidelines and common application errors.Collaborate with New Business, Sales teams, and Claims teams and other cross function team to improve end-to-end workflow.Support in on boarding process of new panel clinic or hospitals and bill settlement process of medical fee to panel clinic/hospital.5.
