Job Description

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Camps oversees FCA's global ministry through Camps, ensuring the effective integration of spiritual impact, logistical excellence, and strategic growth. This position leads the development of people, systems, resources, and processes that support the Camp program and the experience of Coaches, Leadership, Partnership, Power, Sports and Team camps. The EVP of Camps works closely with Support Services, Advancement, and Field leaders who facilitate FCA Camps across the globe.MINISTERIAL DUTIESThese responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement. Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA. Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others. Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement. Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times. Role ResponsibilitiesCamp Ministry DevelopmentDevelop and implement a global recruiting strategy aligned with FCA's mission, values, and growth goals. This includes working directly with the EVP of Talent Advancement on this global strategy. Lead the continuous improvement of FCA Camp strategies, systems, and structures. Oversee program design and development for various FCA Camp models.Collaborate on the development of spiritual and training resources for Camps. Design training and equipping materials for staff and volunteers in Camp ministry. Assist in the recruitment and support of camp directors, speakers, and leadership teams. Provide resources to support fundraising efforts for Camps. Strengthen Camp School by expanding opportunities for high-level camp directors to share best practices, while increasing the number of staff who complete the program. Pursue Synergistic Ministry Operations Develop and oversee the FCA Internship Program and other early-career pipelines as a foundation for long-term staffing. Align systems and training across the organization to unified ministry efforts. Offer ongoing support and development for staff leading Camps. Encourage and integrate field feedback to enhance camp operations. Form Field Teams to provide guidance and support across the six camp types:CoachesLeadershipPartnershipPowerSportsTeamHelp coordinate seamless movement of coaches and athletes into FCA's broader ministry environments. Global Camps Ministry Ambassador Partner with Training Department and HR to train field staff on best practices in recruiting and onboarding. Strengthen and expand global partnerships that enhance FCA Camps. Partner with International Divisional Offices to deliver camp training outside of the U.S., ensuring global consistency and quality. Serve as the primary liaison for Camp-related ministry efforts globally. Represent FCA at national and international ministry gatherings and conferences. Promote consistent vision and values for Camps across regions. Financial ManagementSteward finances for the Camp ministry area with transparency and integrity. Develop and manage the annual budget for Camps. Create and execute a long-term financial plan for sustainable growth. Spiritually Healthy Follower of ChristMaintain a personal daily rhythm of Scripture and prayer. Foster accountability through intentional relationships. Strategic Growth & ExpansionIdentify and pursue opportunities to grow FCA's camp footprint through strategic partnerships, mergers, or acquisitions. Collaborate with the Chief Sport Officer and leaders in the Administration Pillar to evaluate opportunities, plan integration strategies, and ensure any growth initiatives support the overall health and mission of the organization. Ensure any expansion efforts reflect FCA's mission, values, and commitment to ministry excellence. COMPETENCIESStrong leadership and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and relational abilities. Experience with large-scale event or camp planning. Collaborative spirit and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
