About The RoleAs an Experience Designer, you will play a crucial role in defining and shaping compelling product experiences. You will contribute to identifying user needs and business goals through active participation in design research. Your ability to translate customer and user insights into tangible design concepts will be essential, as will your skill in creating rapid, iterative prototypes (especially with digital tools) for testing and validation.You will assist in documenting comprehensive experience requirements, including key enablers and system needs. Collaborating closely with program teams, you will support the application of brand-based experience content strategies in product concepting and design ideation, ensuring key experiences are delivered effectively within program constraints.This position reports directly to the Experience Design Lead and is based at the Design Studio in Broadmeadows, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.ResponsibilitiesDefine Experience Opportunities: Contribute to defining compelling experience opportunities by deeply understanding user needs and aligning them with business goals.Conduct Design Research: Actively participate in and apply various methodologies to design research activities to gather critical customer and user insights.Translate Insights to Design: Translate complex customer and user insights into tangible design concepts and contribute significantly to the development of detailed design briefs.Develop Rapid Prototypes: Create quick, iterative prototypes, particularly utilizing digital tools, to efficiently test and validate design concepts.Document Experience Requirements: Assist in defining comprehensive experience requirements, meticulously documenting key enablers, user needs, and essential system requirements.Support Product Ideation: Support the application of brand-based Experience content strategies during product concepting and design ideation phases.Collaborate on Program Delivery: Collaborate closely with program teams to ensure the consistent application of brand-based Experience content strategies and validate the successful delivery of key experiences within program constraints.Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in UX design, interaction design, industrial design, graphic design, or a related technical field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience across service design, with a focus on conception, user validation, and delivery of applications and/or services as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Product Development: Experience contributing to the strategy, design, development, or launch of B2B or B2C facing products or services.Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree: Master’s degree in UX design, interaction design, industrial design, graphic design, or a related technical field.
