This position is supported by ISCIII/AECC through the ERANET-Transcan-3 (EPILUCAFs project) and offers a three-year research opportunity within an international and multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will investigate the impact of chronic stress and immunosuppression on the tumor microenvironment in lung cancer, with particular emphasis on epigenetic alterations in cancer-associated fibroblasts.
The project integrates advanced digital pathology, artificial intelligence for tissue analysis, spatial mapping of cellular interactions, extracellular matrix characterization, and the development of imaging biomarkers and biophysical models.
