Job Description
Purpose:Ensure regulatory adherence, mitigate risks, and oversee inbound/outbound operations. The role includes approving import/export flows, conducting due diligence and sanctions screenings, developing export control clauses in contracts, and liaising with legal, compliance, and government stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Approve import/export flows (GoImport/GoExport) and ensure timely regulatory reporting.Maintain transaction security and risk control through strategic screening, due diligence, and sanctions/embargo monitoring.Provide legal coordination and advisory on export control matters.Develop and implement export control clauses in procurement and sales contracts.Support operations related to sanctioned countries using risk-based decision-making.Continuously monitor evolving laws, regulations, and policies; align operations accordingly.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Commercial teams.Contribute to the company's Export Control Office development, training, and compliance monitoring.Liaise with governments and external stakeholders as required.Requirements:8–10 years hands-on Export Control experience (defense/aerospace preferred)Strong European EC background; familiarity with UAE regulations is advantageousAdvanced degree in Law or Engineering, or equivalent experienceProficient in MS Office and EC screening tools (e.g., Descartes, Catalyst, OpenSanctions)
