We are one of the world’s largest energy companies with a span of business that includes exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy.As the global centre for bp Group Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Supply, Trading and Shipping, Group Audit and Tax, we are also the regional hub for lubricants in the Asia Pacific region.Key to our team's success is a dynamic, high-skilled and diverse team of professionals based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia supporting more than 60 countries across Asia Pacific, Australasia, South Africa, Angola, United Kingdom & United States.If joining our growing team and contributing to delivering on bp's purpose for our people and the planet is of interest - we welcome you to express an interest and join our Talent Community for future openings.Joining our talent community enables you to learn updates from the business, and be readily contactable as and when suitable openings become available.Key AccountabilitiesDevelop new power bi solutions by following internal processes and standard methodologies.Maintain current power bi solutions and ensure data accuracy at all times.Use Microsoft technologies and practices to optimize and automate processes.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technologies or Software developmentMinimum 3 years of hands-on Power BI development experience5+ years of experience in a BI or Reporting roleProven track record of analytical and numerical skills to transform and manipulate data, interpret trends, and provide insights.First-hand development experience in Power BI, building semantic models, reports, and dashboards.First-hand development in Power Query, M formula language and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) as well asPower BI service, data flows, and data modelling.Good understanding on use cases of filter context, time intelligence and row context concepts across Power BI.Good understanding of Power BI security models, row level security, dataset and app level access controls.Experienced in using Power Automate to refresh and synchronize reporting solutions.Experienced in SQL to manage large datasets and analyse data.Preferably experienced in Azure Databricks, Fabric and Synapse AnalyticsPreferably certified by Microsoft as “PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst”.Why join us?At bp, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and bold environment.
