We are seeking expressions of interest from dynamic and committed project scheduling professionals with Defence environment experience who are looking for fixed term contract work.About the Opportunities:  Role Type Expressions of Interest - Project Schedulers, Defence environment Skill Set:   Project Management Services and Support Security Clearance:  Defence NV-1 (or Baseline with ability to meet NV-1).Location:   ACT, NSW, QLD, SA & VICReports to:   Managing DirectorPlease note that due to the nature of these roles, Australian citizenship is essential.Ideal applicant experience:You hold demonstrable experience for the sole responsibility for creating and managing systems that plan, monitor, control, and report the progress and performance of projects and programs. You are familiar and competent with improving work efficiencies and ensuring the timely delivery of Defence capabilities. You are adaptable and agile, easily able to apply your initiative to make informed decisions and proactively resolve problems. As a dynamic team member, you use your strong interpersonal and communications skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships, influence change and drive continuous improvement. You are familiar with and competent in the use of scheduling software packages and have demonstrated knowledge of scheduling methodologies including Critical Path Method (CPM), Critical Chain Project Management (CPPM), and Earned Value Management (EVM). You are comfortable interpreting data, make sound decisions, apply good judgement to support your team to achieve organisational objectives, and supervise and develop project scheduling staff whilst consistently pursuing personal self-development goals. You can collaborate effectively within a project management team, as well as with external stakeholders, in order to develop and maintain a detailed project schedule to support the delivery of the required Defence capability.    You utilise your strong interpersonal and communications skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships, influence change and drive continuous improvement.   Mandatory Skills/Experience requirements: Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience (ideally 5 years+) in a scheduling role with prior experience in project planning and controls (PP&C), as well as project coordination experience within the Defence environment Knowledge: Familiarity and competency across project Schedule, Scope, Cost and Risk areas, including Critical Path Method (CPM), Demonstrable experience operating Primavera P6, MS Project or Open Plan Professional (OPP) scheduling software and the awareness of various schedule measurement methodologies is essential.Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, proficiency in project scheduling software and analytical and critical thinking skills (to interpret and evaluate project data) are essential.Please note that due to the nature of these roles, Australian citizenship is essential.Desirable Skills/Experience requirements: Defence Clearance: An active Defence security clearance at NV-1 or higherExperience: Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Chain Project Management (CPPM), and/or Program Master Scheduler Skills: Project related financial management experience Remuneration: Estimated package around $200k, commensurate with experience and dependent on individual contract engagement opportunities.You’ll be working with a team that values consultation, collaboration, and cooperation -delivering real outcomes with integrity and professionalism. For a confidential discussion, or to apply, please email your CV to enquiry@programspace.com.au today!Company DescriptionPROGRAMspace is a small company led by experienced program and business specialists.
