Job Summary:The Facility Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of all hospital facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and functionality of electrical, mechanical, and civil systems. The role requires strong technical expertise in healthcare infrastructure and the ability to handle emergency situations efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment, utilities, and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, medical gas systems, etc.).Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Monitor energy consumption and suggest cost-effective solutions for energy conservation.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for maintenance and repairs.Supervise facility maintenance staff and assign daily tasks.Prepare maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and equipment logs.Support hospital management in planning facility upgrades or renovation projects.Respond promptly to breakdowns or emergency situations to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.Maintain compliance with hospital accreditation standards (JCI, NABH, etc.).Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of facility management experience, with at least 2 years in a hospital or healthcare environment.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and BMS.Familiarity with medical gas systems and hospital safety standards.Soft Skills: Good communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.Certifications (Preferred): OSHA / NEBOSH / Facilities Management Certification / Healthcare Safety Training.
