Our client is a well-established property landlord based in the heart of Johannesburgâs bustling CBD. With a portfolio of 34 buildings and nearly 5000 units, they specialise in providing affordable and social housing solutions to a diverse community. Their mission is to ensure that their residents have access to safe, well-maintained living spaces that promote a sense of community and well-being. As a key player in the local property sector, their focus is on delivering excellent service while maintaining high standards of compliance and operational efficiency. Youâll be at the helm of our Facilities and Maintenance department, driving operational performance, overseeing building managers, and ensuring our properties meet all compliance requirements. Your role will also involve strategic planning, asset management, and the development and implementation of maintenance schedules to maximise asset lifespan. With a strong focus on preventative measures, youâll work hand in hand with service providers, guiding them through SLAs and ensuring we stay ahead of any potential issues. The ideal candidate will possess an NQF 7 qualification in the Built Environment, Project Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. You should have between 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in facilities and maintenance management, ideally within the residential property sector. A background in managing technical assets such as generators and heat pumps would be highly beneficial. Additionally, you should have at least 3 years of staff management experience, with a proven ability to lead and develop a team. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while solving problems efficiently.
