When you join Tigers, you join a warm and progressive team that supports your growth and wellbeing every step of the way.About the Role: Facilities ManagerThis is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring that all Tigers Childcare sites operate in a safe, compliant, and well-maintained manner. The Facilities Manager will oversee both hard and soft facilities management, lead the internal maintenance team, manage contractor relationships, and serve as the organisation's lead health and safety officer.You'll play a central role in supporting site expansions, ensuring readiness for inspections, and embedding a proactive facilities and safety culture across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement facilities strategies that ensure all sites are safe, clean, and fully operational.Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across a multi-site environment.Manage and evaluate contractors and service providers for value and compliance.Lead a team of maintenance staff and provide clear direction, training, and support.Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and childcare regulations.Maintain safety statements, risk assessments, emergency protocols, and compliance documentation.Lead audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements (e.g., Tusla, HSA).Manage facilities budgets, procurement, and contract negotiations.Support site openings, refurbishments, and major maintenance projects.What We're Looking ForRequiredThird level qualification in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, or a related field.Minimum 5 years' experience in a facilities management role (multi-site preferred).Strong knowledge of building systems, compliance standards, and contractor management.Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver cost-effective solutions.Experience conducting safety audits, leading compliance, and working with regulators.Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.Full clean driver's licence and willingness to travel across sites (use of own vehicle is needed).DesirableRecognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, CIF).Experience in childcare, education, healthcare, or another regulated setting.Interest or experience in sustainability and environmental initiatives.What You'll Get as Part of the Tigers TeamWhat the Role Offers YouA senior leadership role with real scope to shape the safety, functionality, and compliance of childcare environments nationwideFull ownership of the Facilities function, working closely with the Executive Team and influencing cross-organisational prioritiesInvolvement in expansion projects, including new centre openings, fit-outs, and compliance readinessA role that directly contributes to the health, wellbeing and safety of children and colleagues every dayA progressive, supportive culture where professionalism and accountability are genuinely respectedSalary & Benefits€50,000 - €60,000 salary, depending on experience and qualificationsMileage and expense reimbursement (depending on business needs)Mobile phone and laptop provided25 days annual leave, with additional days linked to servicePerformance-related bonus (up to 8%)Pension scheme (5% employer contribution) and enhanced family leave policiesAccess to the Tigers Employee Wellbeing ProgrammeAll roles are subject to Garda Vetting and reference checks in line with regulatory requirements and Tigers Childcare's Safeguarding Policy.
