structural and civil engineering requirements; lighting; roofing; fire protection; and other specific structural needsServe as a lead in analysing the facility infrastructure for deficiencies and inefficiencies (and implement corrective actions)Ensure all planned preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed timeously to high standardsEnsure the effective execution of facilities-related projects to meet business objectives in accordance with specificationsPut in place and ensure the effectiveness of Engineering and Inspection management systems and processes in Facilities, in order to deliver asset integrity, reliability, and legal complianceImplement and maintain an operational risk management strategy in accordance with the company's management frameworkEnsure an integrated and holistic approach to facilities planning and coordination, resource planning, work scheduling to execute operational plans and deliver service in an effective and efficient mannerEstablish service standards, measures, and performance reporting and create an environment that enables and promotes optimal business operationsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish short and long-term plans on production, maintenance, security, material handling, and product control processesEnsure a safe working environment, practices, and compliance with the OHS Act and all associated regulations including General Machinery Regulations and Construction Regulations, as well as internal policies and proceduresEnsure the effectiveness of management systems and processes to comply with all relevant regulations and statutory requirementsManage and oversee risk management controlsManage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and monitor expenses ensuring expenditure is within the budget and continuously strive to save costsAdhere to and meet all relevant safety targets and measurements within the area of responsibilityEnsure alignment of all work processes to the required quality standardsBuild enduring technical and maintenance capabilities to ensure quality, health & safety objectives including statutory obligations are adhered to at all timesEnsure effective resource planning, allocation, and co-ordination of staff, providing leadership and guidance based on best practices and expertiseFacilitate the continuous improvement and enhancement of processes and systems within the departmentManage the performance and development of direct reports, build a high-performance culture within the department, and motivate staff to deliver resultsIdentify hazards associated with assigned tasks and escalate hazards that cannot be mitigatedPut in place effective self-verification processesEnsure effective asset and engineering management systems and processes in Facilities to deliver integrity and reliability of the assets, as well as ensure ISO certification is maintainedExecute facilities maintenance and ensure effective preventative maintenanceEnsure the effective execution of facilities-related projects to meet business objectives in accordance with specificationsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish short and long-term plans on production, maintenance, security, material handling, and product control processes
