This post will be based at Serennu Children's Centre, Newport.We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who is committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The post-holder will undertake a range of specific work functions across the Facilities service.The working hours will be 6am - 11am on Thursdays and Fridays.Main duties of the jobThe duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters. Join us on our journey to pioneer new ways of working and deliver a world-class healthcare service fit for the future.Qualifications And KnowledgeEssential criteriaKnowledge gained on corporate and local facilities induction and completion of internal training programme over a 12 week period (1 week departmental training with further 2 weeks on the job training).Working knowledge of procedures and equipment relevant to post.Knowledge of COSHH regulations Health & Safety Policies and work procedures.Knowledge of Infection Control Policy, Guidelines and Procedures.Knowledge of ISO 9002 regards recording data.Basic Food Hygiene Training.Knowledge and compliance with Mandatory Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers - NHS Circular CEL 23 (2010).ExperienceDesirable criteriaPrevious experience in similar role.Skills and AttributesEssential criteriaGood Customer Care SkillsAbility to work under pressure.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work unsupervised alone or as part of a team.Basic IT skillsMoving and handling skillsOperation of mechanical and electrical machinery safely and effectively.Desirable criteriaWelsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in WelshOtherEssential criteriaAble to work hours flexibly.Additional demonstrable qualities that may be beneficial to the role, e.g. care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.
