Successful applicants will receive all recruitment related correspondence via the email account registered on the application form.Aneurin Bevan University Health Board support flexible working.Please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any time should it be filled via the internal redeployment processJob OverviewAneurin Bevan University Health Board has an exciting opportunity to join our Facilities team at the Royal Gwent Hospital as a Facilities Operative working within Catering & Retail Services.We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who is committed to enhancing the patient & customer experience, therefore you must have a passion for providing a high level of customer service.Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. There are 2 posts available with the following hours:-Post 1 - 18.5 hrs to be worked 09:00 - 14:00 over 3 shifts per week and 16:00 - 19:30 over 1 shift per weekPost 2 - 21.5 hrs to be worked 07:00 - 14:00 over 1 shift per week and 12:00 - 20:00 over 2 shifts per weekMain duties of the jobThe main duties involve, predominantly working within the main kitchen.  The role will include food preparation and service, cleaning; moving, storing and recording stock.The duties within each function will be set out in the relevant job schedules. The assignment of these duties will meet the priority needs and demands of the service as identified by the manager/supervisor. The post-holder will therefore be expected to take a flexible approach to their duties, and must also be able to cover rosters.  The post holders will be required to work across shift patterns over 7 days a week.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Working for our organisationAneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring.
