We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Product Development Officer to join our dynamic team and drive our product innovation and market strategy. Job Summary: The Factory supervisor will oversee the entire process of developing high-value Himalayan products from raw materials to finished goods. This role involves ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, optimizing processing procedures, and working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in product development, research, and quality control playing a key role in driving the company's product innovation and market strategy. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product Development & Management: Oversee the processing of high-value Himalayan products from raw materials to finished goods.Develop and implement product development strategies to drive innovation and meet market demands. Create new product prototypes and refine existing product lines based on market research and consumer feedback. Utilize expertise in product development to conceptualize, design, and bring new food products to commercialization.2. Quality Control & Compliance:Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure product consistency and safety. Obtain and maintain relevant certifications by collaborating with national and international labs.Apply a deep understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) to ensure adherence to industry standards. 3. Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on product trends, market demands, and emerging technologies.Perform competitor analysis and assess industry trends to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation. Identify key requirements for new products or upgrades based on comprehensive market research and consumer insights. Leverage market research skills to translate findings into actionable product development strategies. 4. Collaboration & Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective product strategies and promotional campaigns. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and successful product launches. Work closely with various national and international labs to obtain necessary certifications for products. Support the development of marketing materials and product information to drive consumer engagement. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.5. Production & processing: Manage and optimize supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials. Develop procurement strategies to establish reliable sources for high-quality ingredients and materials. Apply expertise in supply chain management to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 6. Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize processing procedures to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the production process. Utilize experience in process optimization to drive operational excellence.7. Quality Control Lab Setup: Work towards setting up a food quality control lab to enhance testing and quality assurance capabilities. Professional Skills Required: Product Development and registration: Ability to conceptualize, design, and develop new food products that align with market trends and customer preferences and register for product approval. Quality Control: Proficient in establishing and maintaining quality control systems to ensure products meet defined standards and specifications. Food Safety Standards: Deep understanding of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) and ability to ensure compliance throughout the production process.Market Research: Skilled in conducting comprehensive market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscape. Prototyping: Experience in creating and refining product prototypes, with the ability to iterate and improve product designs based on feedback and testing results. Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments. Skills Required:Proven experience in product development or product management.Strong product development and prototyping experience.Expertise in quality control and food safety standards.Excellent market research and strategy skills.Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.Benefits: Competitive salary (30-40K) with performance-based bonuses.Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.Collaborative work environment with exposure to industry leaders.
