Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues to ensure an exceptional guest experienceAnticipate Guests’ needs with thoughtful and personal touchesAssist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful wayRespond promptly to service requests from various departments and outlets, utilizing experience in basic building maintenance tasks such as masonry, painting, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
Conduct regular inspections of facility and surrounding areas and perform interior and exterior maintenance and service as requiredEnsure assigned service requests are documented and resolved promptly according to the Standards of AccorWork both independently and collaboratively on projects, which may involve planning, sharing information, and organizing tasks. Responsible for safe condition and safe operation of all assigned equipmentBeing an ambassador for the Brand, Hotel, Community and Colleagues.
Participate in Hotel Committees and eventsAct as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistanceStrict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).
Perform any other job related duties and projects as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in a Facilities Maintenance role requiredRelevant building maintenance skills in commercial electrical, plumbing, carpentry and basic maintenance systemsExperience within the Hospitality operations would be an assetKnowledge of Bermuda Building codes with the ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering and Building blueprints would be advantageousMust be able to read, write, speak English fluentlyStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesStrong work ethic, highly responsible, reliable with the ability to be flexible and work extended hours including evenings, public holidays and weekends as required Additional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a day. Requires constant repetitive motion. Environmental stress is high – work in extreme weather conditions, high noise level and utilize hazardous machinery.
