Design CoordinatorMain ContractorNew build commercial projectCarlowUp to €80K plus package DOEDuties: • Complete design section of the bi-weekly Contractors Progress reports such as DS’s MTS, RFIs etc. • Coordinate and monitor design development from concept through to construction stages. • Chair and manage design team meetings. • Oversee design of façade systems (curtain walling, cladding, glazing, brickwork etc. ) from early-stage concepts to construction details. • Review and manage the flow of information through Autodesk software platforms. • Coordinate with M&E, structural, and architectural designers to resolve clashes or technical issues early.
• Track and manage design submittals, RFIs, and approvals to align with the project programme. • Coordinate mock-ups, sample panels, and material selections with architects and client teams. • Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and relevant façade standards. • Engage in a purposeful and well organised manner with Design & Build (D+B) Design Team (DT) and other team members. Additional Requirements: • Good people management and interpersonal skills. • High level of IT skills including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Autocad. • High level of written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in highly regulated environments. • Excellent attention to detail.
• Prior on site experience in Design Management, Site Management or Project Management, or experience working as a site / senior engineer status, with an engineering degree qualification.
