The Family Day Care team is seeking a professional to provide support and guidance to Educators caring for children in their home.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of educational programs. Train, advise and support educators to develop and implement educational programs and curriculum for all children in a family day care setting that meet the relevant Law, Regulations, National and Victorian Quality Framework and National Quality Standards, as the Educational Leader.Monitor, resource and support educators through regular home visits, phone calls and other forms of contact to assess and ensure the quality of care and suitability of placements.Undertake comprehensive annual safety assessment of educators’ homes and provide ongoing monitoring of safety during regular visits to the care environment.Monitor the documentation of the education, care and development of children in care in accordance with the relevant legislation.Lead in the recruitment, selection, training, orientation and evaluation of educators.To view the Position Description, click here.About youTo be successful in this role you will have the following:Tertiary qualification in Children’s Services or equivalent with experience working within the family and children’s services field, preferably Family Day Care experience.Current Level 2 or equivalent first aid, including CPR.Current Anaphylaxis Awareness and Management Training.Current Asthma Management Training.Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.Culture and ValuesOur vision for our community is to be: "A vibrant, safe and liveable city accessible to all" and that means there’s a place here for you too. Our organisational values represent us as an established growth Council and the values are reflected in everything we do; our decision-making, our actions and our service provision to the community.
