Around half your time (50%) will be focused on keeping our water systems running smoothly across the station—making sure everything flows as it should. You’ll have smart monitoring technology to help you stay on top of things, so you’re never working blind.The rest of your time will be hands-on with other farm infrastructure work:Fencing (35%) – helping maintain and build the structures that keep the farm moving.Tractor work (10%) – getting behind the wheel when needed.Wider team support (5%) – pitching in where it counts.No two days are the same, and if you’re curious, practical, and keen to learn, we’ll give you the training and support to grow your skills. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration and takes pride in keeping one of New Zealand’s largest farms running at its best.THE FARMRangitaiki Station is Pāmu’s second-largest farm and New Zealand’s third-largest, covering 8,317 ha and running a diverse mix of sheep, beef and deer. The scale and complexity of the station provides unique opportunities for professional development and large-scale impact.Located near Taupō, the station features flat to rolling terrain at 650–900m ASL. Winters are long, but explosive spring growth offers great pasture potential. The full team includes 22 skilled and passionate staff working collaboratively across farm systems.About YouThis role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly. You don’t need to be an expert in water systems—we’ll teach you—but if you’ve worked in roles where problem-solving and getting stuck in are part of the day, you’ll feel right at home.You Might Have Experience AsA farm general hand, fencer, or tractor driver.Worked in mechanics, engineering, or workshop maintenance.Been involved in water reticulation, city water services, or similar.Or simply have a knack for fixing things and want to learn more.You’ll be provided with a modern three-bedroom home, giving you the space and comfort to enjoy rural living.
