QC Supervisor Full timeCork The main requirements of this job as QC Supervisor is to supervise all QC operations ranging from day to day batch/lot release, design and implementation of GLP systems, ensure all QC staff are aware of and comply with relevant safety regulations, continually improve the customer service to all other departments, develop and implement training programmes for all QC staff in conjunction with the training coordinator, actively take part in inter-dept. project teams as required. Responsibilities: Supervise the QC Laboratories in a proactive manner ensuring that the relevant guidelines are implemented within the laboratory.
In conjunction with the Quality Team, ensure that all product leaving the site conforms to agreed specifications as per German and French DMF’s. Write, understand and implement SOP’s applicable to the area. Understand and comply with the relevant GMP standards applicable to the area. Continually improve customer service levels from the QC laboratories to all other departments. Implement and achieve a Quality Training Plan for the QC Laboratories. Develop and maintain a healthy working environment that encourages pro-activity and well-motivated staff through empowerment and team-working.
Continually improve communication through regular meetings and one to ones with all staff, discouraging a secretive culture and documenting all communication in a formal manner. Ensure all QC staff are aware of and comply with relevant safety/environmental regulations. Responsible for the safe operation of laboratory practices and ensuring that all laboratory personnel have received training in safe operating procedures and safe work practices. Requirements: 3rd Level quantification in Science or a related discipline. 10 years minimum quality or laboratory experience preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment with proven experience in managing and motivating a team.
