What you will doThe Head of HR – Africa is a senior role that will lead the Human Resources function for Fido in Ghana and support HR initiatives in other African countries where Fido operates or plans to expand. This role will drive the end-to-end HR strategy, including recruitment, talent management, organizational development, and implementation of HR policies and practices aligned with Fido’s business objectives. Key ResponsibilitiesGhana HR LeadershipLead the Ghana HR function, overseeing all HR operations, strategy, and workforce planning.
Implement HR plans aligned with business goals, including workforce planning and performance management. Develop and execute HR strategies that strengthen talent acquisition, with a focus on sourcing and retaining top technology, data, and product talent. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations. Localize and implement global HR strategies, frameworks, and programs within the Ghana site. Promote a high-performance culture through effective engagement, learning, and career development programs. Regional HR SupportCollaborate with site leaders and HR stakeholders in other African countries to support local HR needs and challenges.
Support the rollout of HR policies, systems, and programs across the Africa region, ensuring local adaptation and compliance. Drive alignment of HR processes, tools, and culture across all sites while respecting local contexts. Strategic HR LeadershipAdvise executive leadership on HR matters, including organizational design, leadership development, and succession planning. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Operations on compensation and benefits strategies. Act as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing company values and driving employee experience initiatives across the region. Who you areBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred, Global Institute preferred).
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role in Africa. Experience in fast-paced, growth-stage companies (ideally in fintech, tech, or financial services). International exposure or prior experience working abroad with cross cultural teams is strongly preferred. Proven track record in leading HR functions end-to-end (recruitment, performance, L&D, employee relations, etc. ). Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labor law; familiarity with HR practices across other African countries is a plus. Excellent Communication, Leadership, And Stakeholder Management Skills. Apply NowApply
