Field Application Engineer

Support Sales Growth: Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive business development and ensure a seamless pre-sales and post-sales experience for both new and existing customers.Develop Innovative Technical Solutions: Think creatively to design and propose new technical solutions using our high-speed camera systems in combination with other existing or third-party products.Provide Expert Technical Guidance: Advise customers, distributors, and sales partners on how to best apply and integrate our high-speed cameras into their systems, experiments, or test setups. Conduct on-site demonstrations, customer visits, training sessions, and participate in trade shows.Build Application Expertise: Continuously gather insights on how customers use our products across various applications. Use this knowledge to enhance sales effectiveness, develop reference cases, and provide valuable feedback for internal business development. Participate in technical conferences and seminars as an attendee or speaker to stay informed about industry trends.Contribute to Product Development: Share market and customer insights with Product Marketing, Engineering, and Operations teams to guide new product designs that align with regional trends and customer demands in Southeast Asia.Report and Feedback: Prepare detailed reports on application engineering activities, technical trends, and customer feedback to support ongoing improvement and strategic decision-making.Support Marketing Efforts: Collaborate with the Marketing team to create technical materials such as application notes, case studies, and demonstration videos to strengthen the Phantom brand presence.Required Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Imaging, or a related field; a Master’s or PhD is an advantage.5–7 years of experience Solid understanding of digital imaging or optical systems; experience with high-speed imaging is highly desirable.Familiarity with camera technologies, digital imaging systems, optical components, oscilloscopes, and function generators is preferred.Programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, C#, or LabVIEW is a plus.Quick learner with the ability to build and maintain deep technical expertise across diverse field applications.Strong presentation and training skills, capable of simplifying complex imaging concepts for non-technical audiences.Independent, creative thinker who can propose out-of-the-box solutions to complex challenges.Willingness to travel frequently within India and occasionally across Asia Pacific and globally.Excellent customer relationship management and strong team collaboration skills.Proven track record in technical project management is an advantage.Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) and professional presentation abilities.Ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
