Role PurposeA field engineer main role is responsible for supporting planning and execution of coiled tubing and pumping operations both onshore and offshoreResponsible in ensuring that all field activities are performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company and clients’ standards operating procedures and regulationsThis position requires a technically competent, safety-focused individual who thrives in dynamic filed conditions, able to work in a team, mobile and ready to mobilize for offshore or onshore assignments on short noticeKey AccountabilitiesOperational Excellence: Ensure coiled tubing operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and client procedures.Technical Support: Provide accurate engineering input for job planning, execution, and post-job analysis to improve service quality and operational performance.Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all HSE standards, risk assessments, and incident prevention measures during field operations.Equipment Readiness: Ensure all coiled tubing units, pressure control equipment, and auxiliary systems are properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for deployment.Job Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate job reports, data analysis, and performance feedback for internal and client use.Continuous Improvement: Identify operational issues and propose technical solutions or process enhancements to improve reliability and service quality.Team Collaboration: Work closely with field supervisors, operators, and support teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination before, during, and after jobs.Client Relations: Support positive client engagement by maintaining professionalism and providing technical explanations or updates when required.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide technical and operational support for coiled tubing operations, including pre-job planning, equipment preparation, execution, and post-job reporting.Assist in the design and optimization of coiled tubing treatments, including nitrogen lift, acidizing, milling, cleanouts, and other downhole interventions.Monitor and interpret real-time job data to ensure operations meet performance, safety, and quality standards.Coordinate and participate in resources (equipment, chemicals and downhole tools) preparation at base.Lead equipment inspection or FAT with clients prior mobilization.Coordinate with field supervisors, operators, and client representatives to ensure safe and successful job execution and alignment with project objectives.Report any operational issues in the field and close any non-compliance reports during project execution.Ensure all coiled tubing units, pressure control equipment, and related systems are maintained and operated in compliance with company and industry HSE standards.Prepare detailed field reports, job logs, and post-job evaluations for client and internal review.Participate in daily operation meetings, safety meetings, risk assessments, toolbox talks and any other meetings as required.Available for rotational offshore assignments and short-notice mobilizations.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or in a related technical field.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in oilfield services. Fresh graduates with strong technical interest are also encouraged to apply.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in CAD drawing or Microsoft Visio will be an added advantage.Fluent in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.Candidates from Sabah are strongly encouraged to apply.
