Our client, a key player in the energy sector with headquarters in Brussels, is currently seeking a Manager Engineering and Construction Works. In this strategic role, you will oversee engineering and construction activities across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead a team of field engineers, manage major investment and maintenance projects, and contribute to the modernisation of service station infrastructure in the Benelux regionAs Manager Engineering& Construction Works, some of your responsibilities will include: Provide guidance and support to a team of 10 field engineers located throughout Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, ensuring effective communication and shared objectives.Oversee the full lifecycle of service station projects from maintenance to modernisation and new builds, guaranteeing adherence to quality standards at every stage.Manage substantial investment and maintenance budgets with careful attention to cost optimisation while maintaining operational excellence.Ensure strict compliance with HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) guidelines as well as all relevant legislation across multiple jurisdictions.Coordinate complex projects by aligning resources between departments and external partners to achieve successful outcomes.Continuously improve work processes within the team to enhance efficiency, foster knowledge sharing, and drive collective success.Monitor project progress through detailed reporting and documentation practices that ensure transparency for all stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact for your team members as well as other internal departments and external partners.Promote a culture of open communication where feedback is encouraged and best practices are shared regularly among colleagues.Champion knowledge transfer initiatives that help develop skills within your team while supporting their professional growth. About you:A master's or bachelor's degree in engineering with proven experience in construction or maintenance environments is essential for this role.At least 10 years' experience managing complex projects combined with several years in a people management capacity is required.Fluency in Dutch and French along with strong English language skills enables effective communication across borders.Demonstrated analytical abilities paired with a structured approach allow you to navigate multifaceted challenges efficiently.A track record of delivering results in environments subject to frequent change highlights your adaptability and resilience.Comprehensive understanding of HSEQ regulations ensures safe operations at all times within your remit.Experience working with service stations or similar infrastructure is considered advantageous but not mandatory.Excellent interpersonal skills enable you to connect teams remotely while building trust among diverse stakeholders.Proficiency in budget management allows you to optimise costs without compromising on quality or safety standards.
